Doxy, also known as Dolapo Oyatomi, the next to Stardom award winner and Most Promising Artist Nominee in 2016 that dropped the single "Taking The Way" which appeared on NewYork Journal said to the media when asked where he has been all this while and he said that he has been off to build himself up with a New Company called 14 P.A (Partner Alliance) that is
belonging to a humble gentleman known as Bobo to get better in Music and be known with good and solid music to affect people lives. He is going through training to get better in his music career.
He sees that most artistes in Nigeria are not getting it right with the music they produce. They are not concerned about the words been used when singing or Rapping. He also said that it is when he joined to learn how to be good musically that he found out that music is not just an idea and you drop it that way. It should be more than an idea where you build it, cook it, refresh it and attach more techniques to the same idea...then You can now produce it for people to hear and feel it in the way of the music.
I love music and No one can stop that in me. I see that if we are to look at the artists in Nigeria today, most Artists can't perform live music. They mostly go to the stage, with the dj playing their songs and singing along to the their songs. It shouldn't be that way all the time. Let the fans, people enjoy what they are coming down to watch and feel it. Music is life. It is life not ordinary. It is extra meaning that it should be played live for people to feel the heat of what they love. A lot of Artists out of Nigeria do live music and they are more presentable because they are original with the music. We will need a lot to change that but we are going to scale through gradually.
